As a result, we make every effort to keep the integrity of our product. We have strict quality protocols which ensure that all our ingredients are allergen free. However, it is important to always pay careful attention to your own personal circumstances and consult a health professional as required. Nuttelex is free from gluten, crustacea, egg, fish, peanut oil, added sulphites, lactose, milk, tree nut oil, soy, potato, corn oil and sesame.
Nuttelex is free from trans fats at 0.4% or lower. Nuttelex also contains 65% or less saturated fat than butter. In addition, Nuttelex is made with vegetable oils. Vegetable oils contain higher content of the good fats (monounsaturated fat and polyunsaturated fat) and are lower in saturated fat. As part of a healthy diet, the CSIRO and Heart Foundation recommend the use of products like table spread over butter. Using Nuttelex Original in place of butter will reduce the saturated fat intake by 2.5kg per year.*

Nuttelex is made in our own purpose built facility in Knoxfield Melbourne. We start with high-quality vegetable oils, carefully blending different types depending on the specific Nuttelex spread we’re crafting that day. This precise mix ensures the perfect balance of spreadability, texture, and firmness. Next, we prepare our own brine solution—just water and salt—which is then combined with the oils. To keep everything smooth and uniform, we add plant-based emulsifiers that prevent the water and oil from separating over time. A dash of essential vitamins and natural flavors completes the recipe before the mixture is rapidly cooled and packed into tubs. From there, it heads to our massive cool room, waiting to make its way to your supermarket shelves—fresh, creamy, and ready to spread! It’s not just about what we leave out—it’s the way we craft Nuttelex that makes all the difference.
Some of our products contain palm oil. It is an important ingredient to ensure the product you are getting is creamy and spreadable. Without it, you would end up with liquid in a tub. Palm oil is a very versatile ingredient and with the company’s commitment to sustainability and contributing to a circular economy, only sustainable certified palm oil is used.
If palm oil is not for you, we have Nuttelex Zero (formerly known as Nuttelex with Coconut) is the only Australian made palm oil free table spread available in supermarkets.
Zero is different to our regular Nuttelex products in taste, texture and ingredients. However, many of our loyal Nuttelex customers have asked us for a palm oil free product and we wanted to deliver it. Although it has meant years of R & D and essentially creating an entirely new type of product based on different processes and ingredients from our existing Nuttelex spreads. The result, is the world’s first (to our knowledge), 100% palm-free (including emulsifiers) table spread, enriched with the goodness of coconut oil.
NO all all our tubs are BPA free.
